JOINERY KING! After this class that will be your label. Fifty-two lab hours of woodworking concentration creating various types of joinery. The trainer will guide you through the production of an extensive variety of joinery using hand tools, portable tools, stationary tools and specialty joint making machines. These joined items then can be used as a display in your shop.

Specialized Joinery Class Producing Various Styles of Joints

The following are specific woodworking technologies presented.

  • Learn the steps to determining the best joint for the application
  • Acquire skills in producing joints with a variety of tools
  • Produce accurate joinery under the instruction of your trainer
  • Master sharpening skills of various types of tooling
  • Create a display of your joints
Age Restrictions
Class for AGES 14 and UP or with consent of the instructor
Certifications
A certificate is awarded upon class completion
Prerequisites

SPI-600, or with the consent of instructor.
NO materials or tools needed.

Class Time and Information
The class takes fifty-two hours in eight hour blocks of time over a seven-day period. The days may occur over a two week to three month period. Hours may be altered depending on the circumstances. Check with the Academy office for further information. See the calendar for dates or call for unannounced times.
