Class Overview:
Glide in, not Rock Out! Produce an Oak Glider for a child or adult

The following are specific woodworking technologies presented.

  • Interpret working drawings
  • Acquaint yourself with layout of compound angles
  • Learn how to use joinery techniques for smaller pieces of wood
  • Fabricate sections into sub-assembles instead of clamping the entire chair at once
  • Acquire proficiency in laying out holes for precision boring
  • Accomplish compound angle layout with ease
  • Understand complex machining
  • Master compound angle boring

Age Restrictions
Class for AGES 18 and UP or School’s Permission
Certifications
A certificate is awarded upon class completion
Prerequisites

SPI-600, 601, 603, 613 or with consent of the School.
NO materials or tools needed.

Class Time and Information
The class takes forty hours in eight hour blocks of time over a five-day period. Days and times may be altered depending on the circumstances.
