Trainers will assist you from sharpening lathe tools to spindle and faceplate turning techniques. Then learn about safe finishes for woodenware.

Class Overview:
Making Woodenware for the Kitchen, Dining Room and Office

The following are specific woodworking technologies presented.

Preparing stock for lamination
Mounting stock for face plate turning
Learning lathe tool sharpening
Acquiring experience in scraping versus shearing lathe tool methods
Developing spindle to spindle turning techniques
Experiencing center finding and boring for hollow core turning
Finishing on a lathe

Age Restrictions
Class for AGES 12 and UP or School’s Permission

Certifications
A certificate is awarded upon class completion

Prerequisites

NO prerequisites; NO background in woodworking needed; and NO materials or tools needed.

Class Time and Information
The class takes twenty-four hours in eight hour blocks of time over a three day period. Days and times may be altered depending on the circumstances.
